Simple Ways to Refresh Your Bathroom

We use this space so many times each day. It’s often the first thing you see when you get up. So let’s make it BEAUTIFUL! Here’s a few key things every bathroom needs (no matter what size) that just gives us all the feels.

Let’s talk about towels. Everyone should invest in those soft, perfect Turkish towels like these that just look great! I always keep one hanging up that I don’t touch so it stays looking clean……is that weird?! Towels can instantly update a space and give it a polished finish. The Hearth and Hand With Magnolia at Target has the best towels like these or these.

Now onto accessories. Having a million tiny things on a bathroom counter can make you feel cluttered. So first thing is invest in a cute basket/tray like this one  or this cute wood bowl from The Refined Table to hold all of your essentials. I have to admit I like clean surfaces. So on my vanity, you’ll only find a soap dispenser like this one  (it’s a cute one), and that’s it! I put everything else away. Here’s a few great options for dispensers and cute accessories.

Some form of art should be in the bathroom. It can inspire you, calm you, refresh you, etc. Get a new piece of art that means something to you. In a recent bathroom SF Interiors designed, the client wanted this piece of art  from a vineyard in Florence because that inspired her! Another client wanted this soft landscape  that appealed to everyone using their guest bathroom. Check out the art in the Modern Farmhouse client’s two bathrooms SF Interiors just updated.

Update lighting! I can’t say how important bathroom lighting is. Vanity lighting is easy to swap out and can change the whole look of a bathroom. Here’s a few great and cheap vanity lights that we’ve used in designs. Take a look at our lighting blog for more ideas.

Update your shower curtain to one of these adorable ones! Here’s a few curtains we’ve been putting in our client’s homes that look great and are under $25!

Every bathroom needs a good rug. Especially if you’re trying to cover up old tile floors you’re not crazy about anymore. A long runner that stretches in front of the vanity and tub/shower area is better than a bunch of smaller bath rugs. My personal favorite is using vintage rugs or at least the look of a vintage rug like this vintage looking one we used for a client’s bathroom and the Loloi Teagan rug  used in the Fain Home.

There you go- that’s 6 easy ways to update your space without tearing down walls or repainting! Need a design for your bathroom? Contact us today for a FREE consultation!
