5 Things Your Front Porch Needs For Spring!

IMG_1432.jpeg

Every year when flowers start blooming, leaves turn green, and we see the sun for the first time in what feels like a year, I start itching to decorate my front porch! Your front porch is the first thing someone sees when they visit so it’s super important to make a good first impression! Nothing says “Welcome” like bright flowers and a welcome mat (pun intended!). So, here’s 5 (budget friendly) things on my front porch right now that make a big impact! To see more of this home, visit the Fain Home portfolio page.

  1. New Wreath

Wreaths add a lot of personality to a front door! I used two of these from Hearth And Hand with Magnolia from Target and added my own ribbon bows. You can spend around $25-$45 for a decent wreath. Click the pictures to shop below!

2. Door Mat

Door mats should be as inviting as they are functional! Unfortunately for me, I have a dog who loves to chew on beautiful rugs! So, I’m forced to stick with these doormats that don’t taste as good to my dog! Lol

I also love the layered rug look with a doormat on top of a more decorative rug that’s one size larger than the rug. See below some options that go well with the doormats above:

3. Planters

Anyone who knows me knows that I absolutely love flowers! The more, the better! That doesn’t mean that I’m good at keeping them alive though. Anyways, an instant porch refresher involves planters filled with flowers! I love planters that will patina over time like these large ones on my front porch from Home Depot. I have several terracotta ones from Tomato House Farms too that are great (and under $40!).

4. Outdoor Pillows

Whether or not you can afford new porch furniture, chances are you can afford new throw pillows! So you’re in luck - I found some great ones for you all under $30 each! All the pillows on my porch swing and chairs are either from World Market or Target (because I’m thrifty and buy almost every season!) Ha! This must be my “blue” phase as I’m realizing that’s all the color I have on my porch?!

5. Rocking Chairs

I know I live in the South so it’s basically a requirement that I have rocking chairs…….but I am pretty sure I’d have them anyways! Because they are comfy! You can’t have a front porch that you want to enjoy sitting on without a good chair. Check out these good deals I found on great rocking chairs!
