Decorating Your Entry for FALL

Oh Fall, my favorite time of year for so many reasons……one of them being new FALL DECOR! Who else loves pumpkins all over your front porch, giant mums, and eucalyptus wreaths?! Until those come in, I’m going to help you change your decor from the brighter, pastel colors of Summer to more muted colors of Fall without spending a ton of money!

NEW CONSOLE TABLE/BENCH DECOR

Swapping out brighter colors and floral decor with richer colors like dark green, amber, black, gray, and sage say bring on the apple cider and hay rides!  In the Fain Home entryway, we changed the whole color scheme with new pillows in the baskets, this cute little mango jar and vase from Kate Lester Home, and a vintage jug with branches from the yard! I actually did the artwork myself on the back of the picture that came in the frame! Ha! I loved this framed print from McGee & Co. but wanted it much cheaper. This adorable wooden pedestal with the limestone knot from Studio McGee’s Threshold line at Target added another layer of texture. Don’t be afraid to mix textures and colors!

Then by the front door bench, we changed out the rug for this beautiful vintage-looking Pottery Barn one, swapped the pillows, and added this throw from Target. I’m digging all the shades of green and brown! Changes can be small but still make an impact.

NEW FRONT PORCH DECOR

If you’re like me, your front porch desperately needs some fall colors and decor! Sophia Fain Interiors just finished this front porch plan for the Rustic Italian Client. They wanted a simple refresh that would last through spring! We did tall boxwood topiaries in urn potters to flank the front door, added a eucalyptus wreath, and a new adorable doormat. For their small siting area, we did a Ballard Designs outdoor rug, linen outdoor pillows, and faux goldenrod plant. The clients wanted low maintenance everything, and nothing is lower maintenance than FAKE plants! The grouping of black lanterns with faux succulents in terra-cotta planters finish it off!

I can’t wait to add pumpkins, mums, and gourds on every step of our front porch, but they aren’t in yet. So sad.
